Oak City Softball League Coed Competitive Division Registration Form - Fall 2026

Fall 2026 Open Competitive Division Individual Player Registration Fee

Oak City Softball League Fall 2026 Season Open Competitive Division Individual Player fee is $80.00. Please note that registration is NOT COMPLETE until your fee is submitted. This fee is NON-REFUNDABLE. By registering and paying your player fee, you are acknowledging that you understand your fee is non-refundable. You also acknowledge that games played on fields owned by the City of Raleigh are subject to that entity's decision regarding field playability due to rain or other condition.

Fall 2026 Season: August 16, 2026 – November 2026 (tentative end date, which encompasses both regular season dates and off weekends; any declared rainouts will push ending date out to complete scheduled games).
14 regular season games per open division teams are planned for seven Sundays at league-specified Raleigh parks; a two weekend double elimination league tournament is planned to be held at season's end, with a 2-game minimum for each league open division team; all games are governed by field condition declarations mentioned in the above paragraph.

League Season-End Tournament Qualification
I understand that in order to participate in the league's season-end tournament, I must play 50% of a season's scheduled games + 1 (a total of 8 games in Open Divisions). I also understand that signing player sign-in sheets before each regular season game is mandatory and is how eligibility is determined. I agree (if registering as a team captain) that I am responsible for reminding players to sign in before regular season games, and I agree that the results of team sign in sheets are binding for eligibility.

iPride Softball Contact Info
I authorize Oak City Softball League and Oak City Athletics to submit my name, email address and registration information to International Pride Softball to enable creation of an iPride Softball user account to access iPride ratings and and other pertinent info. I understand that if I opt-out, participation in iPride events (iPride Cup, GSWS) would not be possible, and this could also mean that participation in iPride member city tournaments may be limited/not possible.

Code of Conduct
Before registration is complete, we would like to communicate to all potential players that we have a code of conduct that we expect everyone to agree to and submit as part of becoming a player in our league. We are interested in building a supportive, respectful program that is a safe place for everyone who is a member. In that regard, please read, understand, and agree to the following code of conduct:

1) There will be zero tolerance for verbal or physical abuse of any kind, including threatening behavior, toward players or staff (including umpires). This behavior will result in an immediate and permanent ban from Oak City Softball League.

2) Umpires are employed by the league and are paid hourly. As representatives of the league, they are essentially running events on the field during play, and will not be subject to harrassment of any kind.

3) There is no scenario where stealing of equipment or any other item belonging to another party is acceptable.

4) We will provide on this website the banned bat documents published by USA Softball (formerly known as ASA), as we will ONLY use bats with ASA/USA Softball stamps on them that are not on the banned bat list. Bats from other organizations (such as NSA or USSSA) that don't have an ASA/USA Softball stamp on them will not be allowed to be used in league play. Any attempt at using banned bats or modified bats (including attempts to be deceptive regarding this) will be viewed as being purposefully dishonest and subject to the same scrutiny as the other items listed on this page. It is the responsibility of players and captains to be aware of bats being used on their teams; bats will be subject to inspection at any time by any league official, including umpires.

Any of the above four items, when reported or noticed by league officials, will be the subject of a meeting of officials at the field and immediate scrutiny, which may result in a reprimand and a warning. A flagrant violation may include a permanent ban from league participation; this is at the discretion of league officials after reviewing the scope and severity of actions being analyzed. We take the safety of our league members seriously, and we are determined to promote a respectful environment.

Player Liability Waiver

1. The risk of injury from the activities involved in this program is significant, including the potential for permanent paralysis and death, and while particular rules, equipment, and personal discipline may reduce this risk, the risk of serious injury does exist.

3. I willingly agree to comply with the stated and customary terms and conditions for participation. If, however, I observe any unusual significant hazard during my presence or participation, I will remove myself from participation and bring such to the attention of the nearest official immediately.

4. I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, assigns, personal representatives and next of kin, hereby release and hold harmless Oak City Athletics, Oak City Pickleball League, and their directors, officers, officials, agents, volunteers and/or employees, other participants, sponsoring agencies, sponsors, advertisers, and if applicable, owners and lessors of premises used to conduct the event (“releasees”), with respect to any and all injury, disability, death, or loss or damage to person or property, whether arising from the negligence of the releasees or otherwise, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

I HAVE READ THIS RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK AGREEMENT, FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS, UNDERSTAND THAT I HAVE GIVEN UP SUBSTANTIAL RIGHTS BY SIGNING IT, AND SIGN IT FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY WITHOUT ANY INDUCEMENT.
